IBPES publishes standards framework for private-equity credentialing

IBPES has published the initial framework for the Chartered Buyout Professional® designation, establishing a separation between standards-setting and preparation.

The Level I Common Body of Knowledge is scheduled for publication in Q1 2027. The inaugural Level I proctored sitting is planned for the June 2027 window. Registration dates will be published with the CBOK. IBPES does not sell courses or training.

Further governance documents will follow once approved by the board. No pass-rate or charterholder statistics are published at this stage.
