Level 1 syllabus structure: five volumes, eighteen readings

The Level 1 Chartered Buyout Professional® syllabus is organised in five volumes with fixed examination weightings: Volume I at ten per cent, Volume II at twenty-five per cent, Volume III at thirty per cent, Volume IV at fifteen per cent, and Volume V at twenty per cent.
Eighteen readings span these volumes. Each reading maps to one or more of twelve published competencies, grouped in four clusters: earnings and capital, modeling and returns, deal execution, and fund economics with professional judgment.
